Joel Frazier, Jr.
Founder (Semi-Retired)
A fourth generation pipefitter. Started working in the trade in 1978. Completed a four year training program at JATT in 1982. Worked for several Mechanical Service and Control Contractors in Atlanta prior to starting own business in 1987. Business training acquired at the School of Hard Knocks.
Licenses Held: Conditioned Air-Unrestricted, Electrical - Unrestricted, Class II and III Boilers, Certified Welder, SCUBA Diving Instructor, Honorary Masters Degree in Miscommunication.
Completed seven years military service before completing a four-year training program at Joint Apprenticeship & Training Trust. Has field experience in Heavy Rigging, HVAC Service, Controls, Pipefitting, Plumbing and worked with several large Atlanta contractors before coming to work at Mechanical Concepts Inc. in 1987. Became part owner in 1993.
Licenses Held: Conditioned Air-Unrestricted, Plumbing-Unrestricted, Medical Gas Certification, Class I, II & III Boiler Certification and Certified Welder.

Started as a steamfitter helper in 1979 then was accepted into the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union # 72 apprenticeship program in 1980, completing a four year apprenticeship program in 1984. Worked for many contractors in many different capacities such as journeyman, foreman and general foreman.
Started working for MCIE in 1996 as a pipefitter foreman until being promoted to project manager in 1999 and in 2007 was promoted to President.
Certifications include: NRC Valve tech, CFC Qualification type 1 & 2, Welding - Mig, Tig, Stick Rod, Brazing and soldering.
Attended Southern Institute of Technology from 1966 to 1970 in Mechanical Engineering.
Worked in the Consulting Mechanical Engineering sector from 1968 to 1972. Duties were designing HVAC and Plumbing Systems for commercial, industrial, hospital, sports facilities, and institutional projects.
From 1970 to 1977 Bob worked for Mingledorff's Inc. in outside commercial sales calling on Atlanta commercial mechanical contractors.
Has worked in the Mechanical Contracting business since he entered into the field in 1977. Current and past duties range from Design/Build
Applications, Project Manager, Pre-Construction Services, Budgeting, and General Manager over an entire mechanical division of a large Atlanta contractor.
Currently holds a Georgia State Class II Unrestricted Conditioned Air License, and has been a member of ASHRAE since 1969.

Communications Officer
A fifth generation pipefitter. Started his pipefitting training at Mechanical Trades Institute in 1999 and completed that 5 year program in fall of 2004.
Employed by MCI Enterprises, Inc. since June of 1998, Joey worked in the field as a pipefitter then took part in a co-op opportunity within the company learning the estimation and project management side of the business. A full time project manager / estimator from 2003 through most of 2007, Joey is now the Communications Officer and is charged with the tasks of organizing MCIE's restructuring and SOP standardization.
Attended State University of West Georgia, in Carrollton, for 2 yrs, then transferred to Georgia State University where he completed a BS degree in Business Management. He also attended Gwinnett Technical College where he took electrical systems classes and mechanical load calculation classes.
Chuck began work in the HVAC Industry in 1981 and has worked for several large Mechanical Contractors throughout Georgia before coming to MCI Enterprises, Inc. in August of 2000. He has extensive experience with sheet metal, pipefitting, mechanical refrigeration piping, and project management.

Started working in the Plumbing trade in 1979. Attended Apprenticeship School from 1980 through 1984 at which time he graduated with an Unrestricted Mater Plumbing license.
Foreman on all types of plumbing, ranging from tenant build-out to high rise buildings, hospitals to dental offices, etc...
Became a Project Manager for MCIE in May of 2008.
As of 2008 Kevin currently has 32 years of experience in the construction industry. In that time he has completed the following training programs and acquired these certifications:
Completed Pipe fitting apprenticeship program 1982, MCA Project Managers Training program, MCA Estimating Training program, Southern Tech self development, Contracts, Contract Writing, Scheduling, National Centers for Construction Education and Research Certified Pipe fitting Instructor, Construction Education Foundation of Georgia Certified Pipe Fitting Instructor, Pipe fitting and Project Management experience on Power Plants, Waste Water Treatment Plants, Fresh Water Treatment Plants, Food Processing Plants, Petro Chemical Plants, Concrete Manufacturing Facilities, DOD, Prison Facilities, Hospitals and Commercial applications, Former Security Clearances issued by DOD, Federal Bureau of Prisons, NASA.
Kevin was formerly employed as an Operations Manager before coming to work as a Project Manager with MCIE in 2007.

Graduated from Bremen High School in 1998. Went on to complete 2 years at the University of West Georgia on a softball scholarship while working towards her Business degree. Started at MCI Enterprises, Inc. as the receptionist in May of 1999. Moved her way up within the company while learning payables, receivables, Project Manager assisting and other various office functions.
During this time Holly also completed her Technical degree in Management & Supervisory from Chattahoochee Technical Institute. Shortly after completing her degree she was promoted to her current title as Controller.
Started in the Pipefitting trade in 1980. Attended the apprenticeship school, JATT, from 1984 to 1988 at which point Ronny graduated as a 3rd generation family member in this industry.
Working as a foreman for numerous years for MCIE, Ronny became the Labor Superintendant for the Pipefitting, Plumbing and Service Technician trades in 2005.
Ronny also holds a certification in welding.

Doug Walter
Labor Superintendant
Started in the Sheetmetal trade in January of 1968. Served a 5 year apprenticeship and received a Journeyman Sheetmetal card at the completion of that program in 1973.
Doug has worked for several large Sheetmetal and Mechanical Contractors in Miami, FL and Georgia as a Foreman and Labor Superintendant.
Starting as a Foreman for MCIE, Doug is now the Sheetmetal Labor Superintendant as of 2007.
John Brooks
Project Manager
Started in the Sheetmetal trade in 1976, John joined the Military in 1978 where he remained until 1987. From 1987 to 1992 John worked as a Sheetmetal Foreman and a Labor Superintendant for various Mechanical Contractors.
From 1992 through 2002, John worked as an HVAC sub-contractor for multiple Mechanical Contractors in the Southeast.
In 2002 he started working as a Foreman for MCIE and has since moved up to Labor Superintendant and ultimately Project Manager which is the position he has held since 2007.
Richard Smith
Project Manager (Tenant)
With over 38 years of experience in the Mechanical Contracting industry, Richard has his Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering. His past employment includes Estimating, Sales, Project Management, Managing other Project Managers and Operations Manager.
Richard has been a Project Manager / Estimator for MCIE since 2004 and has since transitioned solely into the Tenant division within the company.
Certifications include: Georgia Certified Conditioned Air Contractor, Carrier & Trane Air Conditioning certified, Bell and Gossett System Design- Pump and Piping.
